<p>The device consists of a hollow cylindrical body serving as contg. an interchangeable tubular mouthpiece, a pinion being placed on th hollow body so that it can be manipulated with the finger and can be placed in contact with a push rod provided with a rack. The push rod, operated by the pinion pushes a piston in the mouthpiece solidly locked with the body and exoples the article inserted at the end. The push rod slides in a guide moving in the hollow cylindrical body. A stop on the rod comes up against the end plates of the guide, limiting the movement of the rod. The mouthpiece has an anular recess into which a rim on the hollow body can be firmly fixed. A piston working inside the mouthpiece has an end surface on which the push rod bears, its other end serving to expel the article inserted. The device enables medicaments, suppositories and tampons to be inserted in body orifices without handling.</p> |
