Title cpds. are prepd. by mixing an aq. soln. of an inorganic salt of the base with an aq. soln. of alk. metal alk. earth metal or NH4 salt of the organic acid. Thus the 18-beta-glycyrrhetinate was prepd. by mixing a soln. of the base in N/2 HCl with an equiv. amt. of the organic acid in N/2 NaOH.
