<p>In a multi-stage "Scheibel" extractor, the agitation and decantation zones forming each stage are composed of rotary paddles and cylindrical woven metal elements which are threaded alternately on to a main shaft to make up the desired number of stages; the outside dia. of the cylindrical elements is a little more than the dia. of the column into which the assembly is fitted; the cylindrical elements grip the colum by elastic resistance to radial compression. Columns for laboratory and industrial duties are easily assembled and cleaned.</p> |
