PURPOSE: A big capacity charger is provided to improve cooling efficiency by using a cooling fan and charging efficiency with switch mode charging method. CONSTITUTION: A big capacity charger includes a lower case(210), an upper case(208), more than one terminal portions(402), a charging circuit(400), and a cooling fan(502). The lower case includes a plurality of ventilating holes on a rear plate. The upper case includes more than one mounting holes for containing a cylindrical battery pack, a pair of contact bumps contacting left and right edge portions of a rear plate of the battery pack, and a cylindrical mounting hole to which an end of the battery pack is inserted. The terminal portions are formed on a front portion of the cylindrical mounting hole and include a plurality of contact terminals(402a,402b) which are elastically coupled with the electrodes on the end portion of the battery pack. The charging circuit supplies a charging current to the terminals. The cooling fan is implemented on a rear plate of the lower case to cool off the charging circuit.
