PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a recommended route to a user in a useful manner. SOLUTION: A route search repeats a local route search, based on the destination, local map information, and traffic information, and generates a plurality of routes to the destination side by side. Route display successively displays routes in a range, where the search is completed, by receiving the local route search result by the route search. Accordingly, even if information required for the route search is downloaded from the center side connected to a network, the route search and searched route display can be executed side, in parallel with the downloading of information.
