PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output system capable of improving the throughput at an output even when the number of channels of a lookup table is increased. SOLUTION: The image output system is provided with: an image output apparatus 4 having a storage means 205 comprising a first storage area 205a for storing first output control information and a second storage area 205b; a storage means 34 for storing the first output control information and second output control information; a LUT selection means 35 for selecting either of the output control information items in response to image information received from an external device; and a controller 3 for controlling the image output apparatus 4. In the case of selecting the first output control information, the image output system attaches identification information to the image information and gives the resultant information to the image output apparatus 4 to allow the apparatus 4 to output an image, and in the case of selecting the second output control information, the image output system attaches the image information to the selected second output control information and gives the resultant information to the image output apparatus 4, stores the output control information to the second storage area 205b and allows the image output apparatus 4 to output the image.
