PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of low temperature offsetting by maintaining the surface temperature of the paper feeding area of a fixing roller at a specified temperature without setting the temperature of a thermistor higher than normal temperature even when the thermistor is provided at the paper non-feeding area of the fixing roller. SOLUTION: A fixing device is provided with: a fixing roller 61 incorporating a heater H; a pressure roller 62 coming into press-contact with the fixing roller 61; and the thermistor 63 provided in the paper non-feeding area of the surface of the fixing roller 61 to detect the surface temperature of the fixing roller 61. A bush member 65 is fitted at the side end outer periphery of the fixing roller 61. A bearing 66 attaches the fixing roller 61 freely rotatably to a frame body 67 through the bush member 65.
