摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for reducing the time and labor spent for magnetic mapping and for maintaining the measurement accuracy of a head motion tracker. SOLUTION: The magnetic correction data generating apparatus 2 is embedded in or mounted to the magnetic type head motion tracker 1, provided with both a magnetic-type transmitter 11 and a magnetic-type sensor 12 and is provided with an optical sensor 21; an optical sensor data processing part 205 for computing the location and the orientation of the magnetic type sensor 12 in a cockpit, on the basis of output of the optical sensor 21; and a magnetic correction data computing part 206 for computing the magnetic correction data, on the basis of the difference between data on the location and/or orientation of the magnetic type sensor 12 acquired by the optical sensor data processing part 205 and the data of the magnetic type sensor.
