PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water type heating device capable of preventing reduction of operation efficiency of a heat pump unit to the utmost even with a small heating load. SOLUTION: This hot water heating device is provided with a heat pump unit 1, a cooling medium-circulation water heat exchanger 8 for heat exchange between cooling medium from the heat pump unit and circulation water for heating, a supply passage 26 to supply circulation water for heating from the cooling medium-circulation water heat exchanger to a heating terminal, a return passage 27 to return circulation water for heating flowing from the heating terminal to the cooling medium-circulation water heat exchanger, and circulation water-tank water heat exchangers 32 and 67 provided in the return passage for heat exchange between circulation water for heating and water in a storage hot water tank.
