PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary type looper, stably taking up a roll type metal strip used for manufacturing a metallic pipe while preventing damage, and reducing noise generated in operation. SOLUTION: An outer drum part 30 and an inner drum part 40 are provided on a base plate 92 to be respectively vertical to the ground surface. A central drum part 50 includes a guide roller 51 provided on the base plate 92 to be rotatable within a predetermined angle, wherein the roll type metal strip 13 discharged to an outlet side part 85 through the guide roller 51 by the rotation of the central drum part 50 is made parallel to the roll type metal strip supplied from an inlet side part 80 to the outer drum part 30.
