PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the sanitary problems caused by discharge of dirt from an original body for meat at dressing of the original body for the meat by providing the cleaned original body for the meat having no remaining of dirt in intestines of the original body for the meat exemplified by poultry, fowl, livestock and fish before the dressing, and having the interiors of the intestines substantially in an aseptic state. SOLUTION: The cleaned original body for the meat is obtained by subjecting the whole length of the intestines of the original body for the meat to a cleaning treatment. The cleaning treatment comprises using a strongly alkaline water formed by electrolysis, and strongly acidic water formed by the electrolysis as treating water, carrying out the pretreatment for washing out the dirt remaining in the intestines by using the strongly alkaline water formed by the electrolysis, and carrying out the posttreatment for sterilizing the interior of the intestines after discharging the dirt by using the strongly acidic water formed by the electrolysis with the strongly acidic water formed by the electrolysis as the treating water.
