FIELD: medicine, cardio-vascular surgery. ^ SUBSTANCE: one should perform clinical and angiographic testing in two projections. By angiograms one should detect the types of aortal filling defects that form aortal coarctation. One should evaluate isolated aortal coarctation by its angiographic types which should be classified based upon combination of the types of aortal filling defects in two projections. Depending upon the type of aortal coarctation one should perform its catheter balloon angioplasty, stenting of affected area or surgical correction of aortal coarctation.
