<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a desirable picture as a picture after transformation, when a picture captured with a camera is transformed, and also when the picture captured with the camera is a backlight picture. <P>SOLUTION: An input RGB data is transformed into L*a*b* data by a first color transformation means 210. The L*a*b* data is transformed to YMCK data by a 2nd color transformation means 220. A parameter determination means 230 discriminates whether an input picture is a backlight picture or a picture made into standard picture with a scene discriminates means 237.
