<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer which suppresses surface stain and toner scattering even in long-term image output on a large number of sheets and obtains high-grade images. <P>SOLUTION: The two-component developer comprises a toner containing at least a binder resin, a black metallic material and a charge control agent, and a carrier, wherein the toner has a true specific gravity of 1.35-1.60 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and a saturation magnetization of 0.1-8 emu/g. The charge control agent in the toner is a resin charge control agent comprising at least a sulfonic monomer, styrene and/or methylstyrene, and an acrylate and/or a methacrylate monomer as constitutional units.
