<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing device and method therefor, capable of reducing power consumption generated by a signal change of a bus. <P>SOLUTION: When a CPU reads an instruction code stored in a ROM via the address bus, the CPU does not change address data outputted to the address bus in the case of the address data except address data corresponding to a branch instruction. An address control circuit sequentially counts up an address according to an instruction code length with the address data on the bus as an initial value, and outputs it to the ROM. The ROM outputs the instruction code to a data bus through the address control circuit. Accordingly, except the case of the branch instruction, the signal change of the address bus is not caused to realize the reduction of the power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
