PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact device hardly generating a short circuit between batteries even if a small metal piece is intruded into a battery chamber and the batteries are installed in that state. SOLUTION: This device is composed of battery contact pieces 81 contacting with a battery electrode 31 of a battery pack body 30 and a protective sheet 76 to be deformed. The protective sheet 76 has battery contact piece holes into which the contact pieces 81 can be inserted. If the body 30 is not installed, the contact pieces 81 do not go into the holes, and if the body 30 is installed, the protective sheet 76 is deformed so that the contact pieces 81 go into the holes to be contacted with the battery electrode 31.
