ELECTRIC WAVE LENS ANTENNA DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multibeam lens antenna capable of communicating independently with satellites placed at a small elongation. SOLUTION: The electric wave lens antenna device comprises a combination of: antenna elements 3 that have dielectrics 6 mounted in openings of waveguides thereof; a hemisphere Luneburg electric wave lens; and a reflector which is attached to a half of the sphere of the electric wave lens for reflecting electric wave that is emitted to the electric wave entering from the sky or to a target. The waveguides preferably are square waveguides 6 rather than circular waveguides 5. In addition, the dielectrics 6 is preferably tapered. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
