PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information retrieval device and a method using a mobile communication terminal capable of obtaining associated information without any alteration of predetermined applications even when the position information retrieval method by the mobile communication terminal is altered by providing an interface capable of being shared by the predetermined applications. SOLUTION: There are provided a position information retrieval section for requesting position information retrieval for a specific terminal to an external position information server, and a position information processing section for transmitting the retrieval of the position information for the specific terminal requested by the predetermined application to the position information retrieval section, and transmitting the position information from the position information retrieval section to the application.
