PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input/output control apparatus and data input/output control method in which a memory area can be prevented from overflowing by a data input. SOLUTION: A data input/output control apparatus 100 temporarily records a plurality of successively inputted data streams in a stream buffer part 147 and outputs the data streams as occasion demands. Further, the data input/output control apparatus 100 comprises a stream buffer control part 171 which monitors vacant capacity of a buffer memory in the stream buffer part 147 on the basis of a stream buffer information management table stored in a stream buffer information management table part 172, and specifies a data stream to suppress the input out of the plurality of data streams when the vacant capacity becomes less than predetermined capacity, and suppresses the input of the specified data stream.
