PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise operability by easily starting an application desired by shape in a portable electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes first and second cases. The second case is connected to the first case, so as to be opening/closing possible from a closing position to an opening position. A plurality of processing functions are selectively performed in the apparatus. An opening/closing monitor part 29 detects whether the second case is positioned at the opening/closing position or not. A time measuring part 30 measures a movement time which is required when the second case is moved from the closing position to the opening position or a movement time which is required when moved from the opening position to the closing position.
