PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of widening an image pickup visual field in an on-vehicle camera. SOLUTION: When a gear is shifted to reverse, a shift selector sensor reports that effect to a navigation ECU (S10), and a car navigation system fetches the signals of a camera and displays them on a monitor (S12). A CCD drive part shifts a CCD upwards (S14). The navigation ECU acquires the output of a steering angle sensor and acquires a steering angle (S16).
