PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a transmission type screen which less absorbs light and has the gain reduction reduced and controls white scattering to have optical characteristics adequate as a screen and uses microlenses and has a wide area and allows the material cost and the working cost to be made inexpensive. SOLUTION: A transmission type screen 10 has a microlens array part which is arranged on at least one surface of a light-transmissive substrate and has a plurality of unit lenses 11 arranged two-dimensionally like a matrix, and each unit lens 11 has an approximately semicircularly projecting shape in a sectional view, and unit lenses 11 are so arranged that side surfaces of adjacent unit lenses are brought into direct contact with each other.
