PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attempt a downsizing of an apparatus and space saving in relation to an apparatus for sticking a label made of paper sheets. SOLUTION: On a loading stand 101 inclined downward in the carrying direction, a bundle of registered mail matters M is held in a perpendicular posture, and its surface is pressed by a pressing plate 102 to convey it by its own weight. At its terminal end part, a separating and feeding section 100 wherein only the frontest part of the registered mail matters M is separated by a separating and feeding means 103 and is conveyed in the lateral direction, is provided. The surface of the registered mail matter M separated and conveyed is photographed by an image pick-up section 200, and based on the image data, the label stuck on a mount tape 401 sent from a label feeding section 400 is printed in a printing and sticking section 300, and this label is stuck on the back surface of the registered mail matter M by air blowing. It is possible to realize the downsizing of the apparatus and space saving as the registered mail matter M is perpendicularly carried, and its maintenance is facilitated as each of functional sections can be arranged in the horizontal direction to the conveying section.
