System for identifying keys and locks in the dark using luminescent elements fitted to the key and around the keyhole

A system for rapid identification of keys and locks in the dark uses luminescent and/or phosphorescent materials applied to both the keys and around the keyholes. The key identification can be unique to each key using shapes and symbols of luminescent material. This can be applied into shaped holes in the key or fitted as caps to the grip end (2) of the key. The shaped symbols can be secured into the holes by pop rivets or by press fitting. The marking for the keyhole enables the user to rapidly fit the key without any additional light. The luminescent materials can also be in different colours and are charged up during daylight hours.
