<p>A sheet handling apparatus has a sheet transport (10, 11) that that frictionally engages the edges of a sheet (23) to move it in a first direction. A foot (12) moves the sheet (23) out of the transport (10, 11) in a second direction perpendicular to the face of the sheet (23). The sheet transport (10, 11) reduces its grip on the edges of the sheet (23) as the foot (12) begins to operate.</p> |
