<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary transition from a stand-by flow status to an assist flow status according to a steering angular velocity of a steering wheel. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention consists of a variable throttle mechanism 12 provided in a passage delivering oil discharged from a pump 1 to a hydraulic system 9 forming a power steering system. which is controlled by a solenoid mechanism 2 operated according to a prescribed value of exciting current, a spool 15 operated according to differential pressure between the fore and aft of the variable throttle mechanism 12 to circulate an excessively discharged oil to a by-pass passage 17 connected to a pump intake port when the flow of the oil discharged from the pump 1 exceeds a prescribed value, and a control means 5 controlling the value of the exiting current to the solenoid mechanism 2 to be a proper value corresponding to a steering angular velocity or a vehicle traveling condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
