<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-color image forming apparatus which measures speed fluctuation of a photoreceptive drum without using toner, does not require toner consumption except in printing to a recording medium and by which a high-quality image is obtained while saving toner. <P>SOLUTION: In the multi-color image forming apparatus equipped with a plurality of image stations A having an image carrier 1, a plurality of photoreceptive drums 2 to be brought into contact with the image carrier 1 at the time of image formation to the recording medium and a toner developing device 3 which elicits latent images formed in the photoreceptive drums 2 as toner images and a plurality of exposing devices 4 which irradiates light to each of the photoreceptive drums 2 and forms the latent images, a control means B for performing control of adjusting phase difference between the respective photoreceptive drums 2 includes an electrostatic latent image measurement means 5 for measuring the latent images formed on the respective photoreceptive drums 2, a rotational fluctuation measurement means 6 for measuring rotational fluctuation of the respective photoreceptive drums 2 based on a detection result detected by the electrostatic latent image measurement means 5 and a phase difference measurement means 7 for measuring the phase difference between the respective photoreceptive drums 2 based on a measurement result measured by the rotational fluctuation measurement means 6 and rotational speed of the photoreceptive drums 2 is changed based on a detection result detected by the phase difference measurement means 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
