<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To call attention to a user when the operation of the user does not match. <P>SOLUTION: Based on image signals included in printing instruction signals, a CPU 100 determines dimensional information on the dimensions of images corresponding to the image signals. Also, the CPU 100 determines the sheet information on sheets storable in a cassette according to the extended state of the cassette detected by a cassette extension sensor 360. Then the CPU 100 determines whether or not the dimensional information on the images matches the sheet information corresponding to the extended state of the cassette. When the CPU determines that these information do not match each other, image formation operation is prohibited, and the mismatch is displayed on a display panel 106 through a display drive circuit 105 to notify the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
