<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact type IC card communication system allowing a user to possess one non-contact type IC card so as to deal with both long-distance communication and quasi-proximity communication according to a user's system use situation. <P>SOLUTION: In an ETC system using the non-contact type IC card 11 as an IC card, the user 14 using two vehicles of a motorcycle 12 and an automobile 13 uses the non-contact type IC card 11 as it is to make passage settlement using a proximity-communicating reader/writer 15 performing the quasi-proximity communication in the case of the motorcycle 12, and sets the non-contact type IC card 11 to a communication converter 16 installed inside the vehicle to make the passage settlement for ETC when using the automobile 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
