<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply system (USP) capable of eliminating an unnecessary shutdown of an operating system (OS) in an information processor. <P>SOLUTION: An uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) 2 and an uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) 3 comprises means 5 for managing how many uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) are connected to one information processor. The uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) 2 and 3 are connected to the power input parts A and B of the information processor 1 with redundant power input parts to confirm occurrence of a service interruption between the connected uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) 2 and 3. When either uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) supplies power to the information processor 1, a shutdown command of OS is not issued to the information processor 1, and only when all the uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) 2 and 3 sense the service interruption, the shutdown command of OS is issued to the information processor 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
