<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization installation which controls the production of smoke, can thereby reduce the scale of a smoke-treating facility, and can largely lower the cost of the installation. <P>SOLUTION: Since a material to be carbonized is carbonized under a superheated steam atmosphere near to an oxygen-free state in a carbonization oven 16, the production of smoke is largely reduced. In an oil trap 18, oil components are separated from the carbonization gas. In a cooling apparatus 20, water-soluble components contained in the carbonization gas are caught. In a deodorizing filter 22, smelling components contained in the carbonization gas are adsorbed. Thereby, affects given to peripheral environments on the exhaust of the carbonization gas can be reduced, and smoke-treating facilities including a chimney can be downsized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
