<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a friction material that keeps performances such as abrasion resistance, high coefficient of friction, etc., required for a friction material without needing specific equipment such as neutralization equipment, etc., and hardly causes partial rust on an opposite material such as a rotor, a drum, a flywheel, a pressure plate, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The friction material is obtained by molding and curing a friction material composition composed of a fiber base, a binder and a filler as main components, has≤0.2 mg/g elution amount of sulfate ion from the friction material measured by JIS-K 0127 and has pH≥10.0 and <13.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
