PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber laser which hardly stops oscillating even when a part of an excitation light inlet introduces exciting light to the rare earth-loaded optical fiber from an excitation light source therethrough and is partially damaged by burnout. SOLUTION: The optical fiber laser is equipped with resonator mirrors 12 and 13 which are arranged at the end faces of the rare earth ion-loaded optical fiber 11 respectively, and four guide fibers 15 which are extended from an exciting LD module 14 and connected to the side of the rare earth ion-loaded optical fiber 11 at different points. A laser beam emitted from the exciting LD module 14 is introduced into the rare earth ion-loaded fiber 11 through the four points located on its side through the intermediary of the four guide fibers 15.
