PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability by connecting a flexible cable to a substrate by using an anisotropic conductive film thereby preventing the reliability from lowering. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 10 is provided with a first substrate 11a on which a first thin film layer 12a is formed, a second substrate 11b which is placed opposite to the first substrate 11a and on which a second thin film layer 12b is formed, and a liquid crystal layer 15 sealed between the first substrate 11a and the second substrate 11b whose first thin film layer 12a side and second thin film layer 12b side oppose each other. At least either one of the first substrate 11a and the second substrate 11b is flexible. A connecter connecting section 16 which is directly connected to a connector of an equipment to be incorporated with the flexible substrate is extendingly formed on the flexible substrate.
