PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent chanking by maintaining dry performance and increasing snow performance. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire having, on the surface of a tread, blocks 3 divided by main grooves 1 and main slits 2 communicating main grooves 1 with each other, auxiliary slits 4 dividing the blocks 3 into generally two parts in the tire circumferential direction R, and corrugated sipes 6 are engraved on both sides of the auxiliary slits 4 in the tire circumferential direction R and linear sipes are engraved at the bottom parts of the auxiliary slits 4. The width of the auxiliary slits 4 is 40 to 60% of the width of the main slits 2 dividing the blocks 3, and the depth of the auxiliary slits 4 is 40 to 60% of the depth of the main slits 2 dividing the blocks 3.
