PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable 4-[5-methyl-3-phenylisoxazol-4-yl]benzenesulfonamide medicinal composition having improved physical properties. SOLUTION: The medicinal composition containing 4-[5-methyl-3-phenylisoxazol-4-yl]benzenesulfonamide crystal is useful as a solid state medicament for treating or preventing cyclooxygenase-2-related diseases, wherein the crystal has 170-174°C melting point; exhibits an IR spectrum having peaks at 1170, 925, 844 and 729 cm<SP>-1</SP>and having no conspicuous peak at 723 cm<SP>-1</SP>; exhibits an X-ray powder diffraction diagram having peaks appearing in the diffraction angle 2θof 12.221, 15.447, 17.081, 19.798 and 23.861 degrees.
