PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the detected displacement quantity of a lens is made unstable due to the eccentricity of a disk or the like at the time of recording and reproducing in a conventional disk device and it exceeds the threshold value of traverse drive other than desired timing, there is the possibility that traverse control at the time of recording and reproducing is made unstable. SOLUTION: A lens displacement quantity compensating signal is calculated by a lens displacement quantity compensating means 23 for a peak signal and a bottom signal of lens displacement quantity detected by a peak detecting means 20 and a bottom detecting means 22, this lens displacement quantity compensating signal is processed by a traverse servo filter 16, when it exceeds the threshold value, a traverse drive signal is outputted.
