<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium, in which a PCA and an RMA are selected to be used in accordance with a recording rate by arranging the PCA and the RMA not only on inner circumference but also outer circumference of an optical disc, an information recording device and an information recording method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The device is an information recording device for recording and reproducing data on the information recording medium equipped with an inner circumferential side reference information area and an outer circumferential side reference information area where an optimal recording condition at the time of recording is set on the inner circumferential side of a read-in area and the outer circumferential side of a read-out area. The device is equipped with a decision means for deciding if the predesignated reading rate matches with a designated reading rate, and a setting means for setting the optimal recording condition at the time of recording to the outer circumferential side information area when the recording rate is decided to exceed the designated reading rate by this decision means and setting the optimal recording condition at the time of recording to the inner circumferential side information area when decided lower than the designated reading rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
