<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell efficiently generating power by uniformizing temperature distribution in the laminating direction of a fuel cell stack. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell stack 1 is structured by alternately laminating power generation cells 5s and separators 8 and disposing a pair of end plates 8A, 8B at both ends of the laminate, and power is extracted through the end plates 8A, 8B. At least the electric resistance of one end plate of the pair of the end plates 8A, 8B is made larger that that of the separators 8, and power generation cells 5 of the end of the stack 1 are raised in temperature by Joule heat generated at the end plates upon the extraction of the power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
