<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved attachment mechanism having a dissimilar material characteristic for an adjustable stomach band. <P>SOLUTION: This implantable band 10 is arranged around an anatomical passage, and has a strap 30 made of a material having at least one first material characteristic, and has an attachment mechanism including a material having at least one second material characteristic different from the first material characteristic. The band 10 has a first end part 40 and a second end part 42 arranged in a place of respective end parts of the strap. The attachment mechanism is constituted, so as to adjacently fix the strap to the anatomical passage, for example, a stomach, by attaching the first end part 40 to the second end part 42.
