PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escape guiding system for automatically comprehending the position of object persons requiring escape while selecting a less dangerous escape route to perform guidance to an escape area. SOLUTION: When a guidance host device 1 receives a request for escape guidance and information on a present position from a portable telephone 3 with a GPS (global positioning system) having a position detection means, a disaster information database and a map information database stored in a database 1a are searched based on the positional information to find a less dangerous route to an escape area near the position, and guidance information on the escape area is given, together with map information, to the portable telephone 3 with a GPS.
