PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment capable of reducing the processing load on a host CPU relative to the generation of control information to be used for communication encryption processing. SOLUTION: The host CPU 60 gives a prescribed correspondence table for associating packet additional information with control information of an encryption processing part 30 to hardware stacks 10 and 20 in an initial state. When a packet to be transmitted is inputted to the hardware stack 10, the hardware stack 10 analyzes the packet additional information and retrieves the correspondence table to acquire control information corresponding to the packet additional information. The transmission packet is subjected to prescribed protocol processing, the control information obtained by retrieving is inserted into the processed packet and outputted to the encryption processing part 30.
