PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the output level of sound when simplex sound communication is started in communication equipment which has a function for performing simplex sound communication and a function for performing duplex sound communication and outputs sound from a speaker 6 common to simplex sound communication and complex sound communication. SOLUTION: When started sound communication is simplex sound communication, simplex sound communication detection means 2 and 7 detect that simplex sound communication is performed. When the simplex sound communication detection means 2 and 7 detect simplex sound communication, means 4 and 7 for increasing the sound output level of the simplex sound communication increase, to a prescribed level, the level of sound outputted from a speaker at a sound output level increase mode which is set.
