PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus constituted so that the deterioration of an image is prevented, irrespective of the below-mentioned temperature rise at the end part of an intermediate transfer body; it is possible that the temperature of the end part of the intermediate transfer body rises after a small-width paper passes, and it is possible that the deterioration of the image occurs when the temperature rises at the end part, because of a difference between a center part and the end part in terms of a material property value such as the resistance of the intermediate transfer body due to the temperature difference between the center part and the end part of the intermediate transfer body, as for the image forming apparatus of a simultaneous transfer/fixing system of secondarily transferring a toner image carried on the intermediate transfer body, simultaneously, fixing the toner image by pressing and heating. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer body is constituted by dispersing both of ion conductive filler and electron conductive filler in a resin base material, and resistance unevenness in a plane is controlled to be within one digit near a primary transfer part.
