PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device for a transmission capable of enhancing the degree of freedom in setting the strokes in the select direction and the shift direction. SOLUTION: The shift device of the transmission is configured so that a stationary fulcrum part having a stationary fulcrum is provided in a plane containing the arm center line of a working arm with the shift lever in the neutral position and the shaft center line of a control shaft, in which the stationary fulcrum part and the control shaft are connected together by a select control arm shorter than the working arm. The select control arm has one end pivoted on the stationary fulcrum part rotatably in the select direction and the shift direction and other end pivoted on the control shaft in such a way as rotating only in the shift direction.
