PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function to quickly increase an exhaust temperature to a target exhaust temperature for obtaining a sufficient engine output after an engine is started, in a control device for a vehicle driving internal combustion engine to perform control to correct ignition timing to a delay side in the case that the exhaust temperature is lower. SOLUTION: This control device is provided with a mode selecting switch 6 to select an exhaust temperature control mode and a steady operation period control mode, and an exhaust temperature increasing ignition control means 15B to control the ignition timing of the internal combustion engine so that when the exhaust temperature control mode is selected by the mode selecting switch, the exhaust temperature of the internal combustion engine 10 is increased to the target exhaust temperature set to a value suitable for a vehicle traveling period.
