PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposed-type steel-frame column base, which prevents the occurrence of the stand-on-tiptoe phenomenon and shade bending phenomenon (plastic deformation) of a base plate when subjected to repeated bending moment, and which enables reduction in size of base concrete by bringing an end of the base plate, serving as the side of compression, into face contact with the base concrete. SOLUTION: In this exposed-type steel-frame column base, the almost rectangular base plate 80, whose at least respective corner parts are equipped with bolt holes, is fixedly attached to a lower end of a steel-frame column 81; a plurality of anchor bolts 82, which are anchored to the base concrete 83, are inserted into the bolt holes and fixed by fastening a nut; and only the compressed side of the base plate 80 is plastically deformed due to the repeated bending moment M, so that the base concrete 83 can be reduced in size by preventing the occurrence of the stand-on-tiptoe phenomenon etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
