PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention device capable of detecting an invader only by providing one unit of detection unit even in part including a corner of a fence and having the excellence in architectural design property while having a sense of unity with the fence. SOLUTION: The crime prevention device is capable of detecting an invader getting over the fence 1. Therefore, the detection unit A is composed of a measuring section A1 having a sensor and a body section A2 having a controller. The measuring section A1 of the detection unit A is set in the upper end of a strut 3 of the fence 1 and, at the same time, the body section A2 of the detection unit A is stored in the strut 3. A distance measuring type sensor 4 as the sensor for detecting the invader is used and, at the same time, a pair of distance measuring type sensors 4 for detecting a different direction are provided to the measuring section A1.
