Sheets are pressed together at the sealing points, using a tubular electric resistance heater, and heated by current. The current is switched off and coolant is fed through the heater to cool it and the seal. Pref. the coolant is a fluid; air is blown through the element after supplying coolant to remove residual coolant from it. |
