FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: gate valve has housing with seat and vertical guides. The guides are made for permitting ties to move along the guides. The spindle interacts with the gate via the tie. The gate has guiding grooves which provide reciprocation of levers along them. One end of the levers is secured to the rotatable axle.
